About “THE ROOM”
From WIKIPEDIA: The Room is a 2003 independent film written and directed by its star, Tommy Wiseau, who is also credited on screen as both the movie's producer and executive producer…The Room tells the melodramatic story of a love triangle between a man, his future wife, and his best friend.

Without any studio support, Wiseau spent over $7 million on production and marketing for the film. Wiseau promotes the film as a black comedy and insists that its humor is actually intentional, although cast members have publicly disputed these claims and many audience members generally view the film as a poorly-made drama.

The Room has been cited by some critics as one of the worst films ever made, and has been called ‘the Citizen Kane of bad movies.’ After a brief run in Los Angeles, the film went on to develop a cult following...”

Artist Lecture at Jersey City Art School

Thursday, January 28, 2010
8:00pm - 9:30pm
326 5th Street

Thomas Carlson, founder of the Jersey City Art School, has opened it's doors to the ladies of Spitfyre Productions and Paul Vincent Gallery , to bring you a meet and greet with upcoming artist, John Selburg.

With an ever growing need to support one another's attempts within the arts, as well as open our eyes and minds to fresh faces outside of our neighborhood art scene, Spitfyre, JCAS, and PVS are inviting you to join us for an intimate gathering with Selburg.

There will be a scheduled talk at 8:00pm, followed by Q and A, and of course a little wine.

Spitfyre and JCAS would like to invite you to join us afterwards at Port-o Lounge to continue to show Selburg how wonderful the support of the Jersey City art scene is.

**absinthe, "la fée verte", is historically described as a distilled, highly alcoholic (45%–74% ABV) beverage. it is an anise-flavored spirit derived from herbs, including the flowers and leaves of the herb artemisia absinthium, commonly referred to as "grande wormwood". absinthe has been portrayed as a dangerously addictive psychoactive drug, due to the presence of the chemical thujone, found in small quantities. this spirit was singled out and blamed for its alleged harmful effects and by 1915, absinthe had been banned in the United States and in most European countries. commercial distillation of absinthe resumed in 2007 in the US.
