"Working", billy mitchell, david zimmerman, musical
The hopes, dreams, joys and concerns of the average working American are the focus of this unique, extraordinary musical. That the everyday lives of “common” men and women should be so compelling and moving will surprise and inspire anyone who has ever punched a time clock, punched a cow, or punched a co-worker - or wanted to.
Based on Studs Terkel’s best-selling book of interviews with American workers, “Working” paints a vivid portrait of the men and women the world so often takes for granted: the schoolteacher, the parking lot attendant, the waitress, the millworker, the mason, the trucker, the fireman, the housewife, just to name a few.
A co-production between The Theater Company and The Attic Ensemble, this musical features the talents of Emily Beatty, Mark Dunn, Jenny Fersch, Erin Flanagan Lind, Margaret Leone, Judith Moss, Joseph Mulholland, Marvin Riggins, Jr, Elizabeth Slack, and James E. Splond. Cast bios: www.thetheatercompany.org/Working.html
Directed by Billy Mitchell and musically directed by David Zimmerman, the show performs on April 23 through May 9, with 8pm performances on Friday and Saturday nights, 3pm performance on Sundays, and 7pm performances on Thursday evenings.

slaying the fear yoga warrior journey
Slaying the Fear- A Yoga Warrior Journey
Yoga, in its simplest definition is defined as Union, or Yoking or Skillfulness in Action. Through the continuous practice of Yoga (skillfulness in action), one Yokes or primes the physical self, and begins to calm the tumultuous mind (meditation), priming the self for encounters or Unions with the divine within.
The intention of a Yoga Warrior Journey is to pinpoint a fear and defeat it. Using Yoga as a means in which to prepare the self for slaying a fear, the practitioner primes herself for deeper states of self-awareness, invokes the inner warrior, and begins the journey towards slaying fear. In a Yoga Warrior Journey, one may step onto the path that begins the facilitation of healing, peacefulness, joy, increased confidence, and ultimately, the full expression of self.
