Friends of Van Vorst Park Flea Market Fundraiser
Community Flea Market FUNDRAISER
Saturday, Sept 14th / 9am- 4pm
The Friends of Van Vorst Park is pleased to announce the last Community Flea Market of the season to raise funds for all the valuable work our volunteer group does to improve and maintain beautiful Van Vorst Park as an urban oasis for our neighborhood.
All spots are on a first come-first serve basis except for the NW entrance,
which is reserved for a food vendor. To participate, please drop off your check in an envelope to SUBIA’S MARKET at 506 Jersey Avenue, and
make it out to: Friends of Van Vorst Park Inc. with “donation to VVP” noted in the memo.

Born in February 1972 in Communist Czechoslovakia in township Karvina. Son of a coal miner and city hall clerk. Grew up in the town of Orlova. Joined the organization Pioneers and later the Communist Youth. Graduated technical institute and began working in still mills as a welder. At the end of 1990 drafted by the Czechoslovakian Army. Served in the army group east, stationed in military airport Mosnov. Honorably discharged in 1992 as a private first class.
Immigrated to the United States of America in the spring of 2000.
Husband to Jana and father to Michael Nicolas."
Michael Hrdlovic paints a story of life growing up in Communist Czechoslovakia for a nation that has very little real experience with the iron curtain.
