This Thursday Dec 19 we are back at Freshly Baked Gallery, located at 383 Monmouth St, Jersey City for The Aqueduct Mural show ft. installations and purchasable screen prints by Joe Iurato, Chris Stain, Rubin, JMR, Ian Kuali’i, Shai Dahan, Then One, LNY, REKA, Kevin Bourgeois, Ellis Gallagher and BilliKid. We will be spinning records accompanied behind the decks by Villager, Big Jack. Expect rare funk/grooves/classic hip-hop from 6pm-9pm. The 29th Annual Community Holiday Party and Toy Drive will be held this Friday- December 20th from 6:30- 10 p.m. at The Moose Lodge, 60 West Side Avenue, Jersey City, NJ.
A hot and Cold Buffet, refreshments and entertainment will be offered. Toys will be collected for distribution to children in Hudson County the following day. The toy distribution will occur on Saturday December 21st from 10 am to noon at the same location.
Children ages 3 to 13 can attend but must be accompanied by a parent. In addition to a toy, each child will receive breakfast and can take a photo with Santa Claus.
The event is sponsored by the South Hudson Civic Association a non-profit – which Bill O’Dea is standard bearer. The event this year is being co-sponsored by a dozen local, county and state elected officials as well as Wal Green’s. Each year more than 1,200 toys are collected and distributed.
