Adopt a lot kick off

Saturday, May 7th from 11am-6pm at City Hall, 280 Grove Street.  As some of you may know, the Adopt A Lot Program is the City of Jersey City’s Community Gardening Program.

Below is a quick run-down of the workshops, their times, and our guest speakers. 
PS – There will be bike demonstrations, so bring your bike!  We will also be raffling off 2 rain barrels courtesy of Rutgers Water Resources Program as door prizes!

Newport 10,000 – a 10,000 meter race run along the Jersey City waterfront – provides a unique urban setting for both recreational and elite professional runners.

Our course is USATF certified, comprised of flat and local roads, and interweaves along the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway with spectacular views of the New York skyline.

Instructor Rich Ahlers has practiced the martial arts for 25 years. Starting at the age of 6 in Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan (Founder Hwang Kee) and additionally studied in Jeet Kune Do, Aikido, Karate Do and Kyokushin. A frequent competition participant with multiple awards in Hyung, Traditional Hyung and Free Sparring. Instructor Ahlers continues to train and teach his first love Tang Soo Do with his unlimited passion and enthusiasm.
