In Jersey City, nearly 30,000 teenagers live only a few miles from the Hudson River. Most of them will never have the chance to experience sailing on the open water. City Sail was created to change that. www.citysailyouth.org

This is Real Life.
Ken Bastard has put together a show that portrays the most simple aspects of everyday life. Paying bills, washing dishes, going to work as a reaction to the overload of Iconic imagery that abounds in the current Art Scene.
No Tattoo Influenced Art.
No Comic Books.
Just Life at it's most Sacred and Mundane. Ken Bastard is an artist who lives and works in Jersey City. He probably can't remember your name, and doesn't care to.

In October we're going to cross the Hudson and meet up in Jersey City at the WAREHOUSE cafe for a late afternoon Brunch and wine tasting!
The featured wines will include the last two reds (Merlot & Cabernet Sauvignon) of the Big Six wine varietals. We'll also be tasting some delicious Spanish wines--Cava, Verdejo and Tempranillo from Rioja--to go with the WAREHOUSE's "travel inspired food!"
The WAREHOUSE is located two blocks North of the Grove Street PATH train station, off of Marin Blvd.
Get there at 4:00 pm for Brunch (optional) or to order from the eclectic cafe menu! The wine tasting will start around 4:30 pm.
**Special: $10 for any sandwich and a hot or cold beverage. Visit thewarehousejc.com for a complete menu. Reply by Oct 26th to reserve your seat. I look forward to sipping wine and socializing with you soon! Cheers, Burley
Dear Fish, Just caught up on a Google Alert from 3/9 & saw that you mentioned us for Lucky7s that night. It was an absolute cracker of a night - I ended up on the bar & we had the place grinning from ear to ear. It was one of the best shows of our 1st US tours in terms of fun!
Thanks so much for mentioning us. Really appreciated. We're coming back to the US in September & it's always good to know that someone has seen the name before (they may not remember it, but it could be buried somewhere down in someone's psyche!).
Much appreciated. - Max The On Fires (Australia)
12/2/2010 It's making me nostalgic. I miss Lucky 7s!!
I'm hoping we'll be back in April for the 3rd time at that wonderful little bar. We're back in Australia now (& it's summer; yay!).
Just wanted you to know your blog gets read all over the world! Best, - Max
