Sunday December 19th · 7:30 - 10:30pm
Originally titled "The Flower-Like Years," director Wong Kar Wai's delicately mannered tale of platonic romance captures the by-gone era of 1962 Hong Kong.
Two neighboring married apartment-dwellers Chow Mo-wan (Tony Leung, who won Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival for his role) and Su Li-zhen (Maggie Cheung) begin to suspect that their often-absent spouses are having an affair. Spending much of their free time together, the two begin a delicate romantic friendship, but vow never to behave like their unfaithful mates.
Film starts at 7:30, discussion to follow.
FREE admission; $5 donation suggested.
