Jersey City, NY -- Earth Week 2010: Liberty Science Center will herald an eco-friendly world with the introduction of Eco Boys and Girls brand earth-friendly educational animated characters created by visionary top model, fashion designer and artist, Maria Snyder, recognized for her green sensibility and innovative integration of recyclable materials into her designs.
On Saturday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m. Stellar celebrities will appear at Liberty Science Center to herald the Eco Boys and Girls Earth Week Celebration. Emlyn Koster, president and CEO, Liberty Science Center will emcee this special event. An environmental leader designated as keynote speaker will speak to the message of encouraging young people to take ownership of Planet Earth. Young people (ages kindergarten and up) will be able to participate in environmental discovery challenges as they explore diverse green exhibits in this highly innovative science museum.
The Eco Boys and Girls will premiere in a short animated film during Earth Week, April 22 to 29, 2010. The five brilliant, colorful large scale animated characters: Ernie Earth©, Lulu Love©, Patsy Peace©, Ray Recycle© and Sammy Sun©, will appear on large screens throughout Governor's Hall as they encourage children to explore Liberty Science Center’s environmentally informative exhibitions.
