Closed on Monday, February 21, 2001.

Opening reception on Sunday, February 13, from 2pm to 6pm.

Valery Yershov's work has been extensively exhibited throughout the United States and Europe including a one-man exhibition in 2009, organized by the Barbarian Art Gallery in Switzerland in collaboration with New York's White Box Gallery. Yershov's paintings are in major public and private collections in the US and Europe. The Salamatina Gallery in Manhasset, New York, exhibited new paintings by Valery Yershov last year (2010). The Lyric of Color, Eduard Grossman opening reception

The Lyric of Color
a solo exhibition of the works of Eduard Grossman

February 13 through February 23, 2011

Opening Reception on Sunday, February 13th, from 2pm to 6pm.

The Museum of Russian Art (MoRA) 80 Grand Street, is excited to host an American exhibition of the Israeli artist Eduard Grossman. Grossman's paintings reveal themselves in living color. "Standing amidst Eduard Grossman's paintings," writes one critic, "one has the sense of having been magically transported into a kaleidoscope's interior, all the colorful images simultaneously emerging and bursting upon him, saturating his field of vision.
A conscious effort to rationalize the overwhelming sensation reveals that the artist turns almost every bit of color into a mysterious source of light. The paintings acquire the appearance of stained glass. And, as is so often the case with the work of a great artist, the first glance is just the beginning of a journey. As sober reflection succeeds the initial intoxicating impression, the viewer then witnesses the reality of a gallery transformed into a spiritual temple..."
Open daily from February 14 through February 23, 2011, from 2pm to 6pm.
Closed on Monday, February 21, 2001.
