The Garden State Theatre Organ Society will present the Restored UCLA version of “My Best Girl” (1926) at the Loews Jersey Theatre in Journal Square, Jersey City, NJ . The film stars Mary Pickford and will be accompanied by Bernie Anderson, Jr. on the Wonder Morton Theatre Pipe Organ. As an added bonus, the short subject comedy, “Movie Night” (1929) starring Charlie Chase will also be screened. Both films will be presented in their original aspect ratio using 35mm projection.

Of course Halloween is coming too! We're planning to be doing plenty for that including screening horror classics Bride of FrankensteinPhantom of the Opera, and more!

Be A Part Of The Show!
Friends of the Loew's Event Volunteers do everything from selling the tickets to making the popcorn to showing patrons to their seats and cleaning up the theatre afterwards. If you are interested in joining us this weekend or at any other event this season, email us at loewsjersey@gmail.com or call us at (201) 798-6055.

There will be an especially warm sense of camaraderie for those who help us in making sure the show does go on this weekend. As always, volunteers can bring a guest to help, pick a complimentary selection from our concession stand, and after the crowd is in and the film begins, they can enjoy the show. We do ask, however, that volunteers stay 30-40 minutes after the final show the help us clean up.

We will also be honoring John Gomez, noted local preservationist & historian.

The wine will be provided by Hoboken Vine and Hudson Vine, food pairings created in partnership with Chef Mory Thomas of the Food Network and NJCU Gourmet Dining's Chef Anthony Cinelli

If you are unable to attend, we hope that you will consider donating towards both organizations' continuing work.

And don't forget, this Friday, May 3, we'll have Sally Kellerman in person at our M*A*S*H screening, starting at 7:30 PM.
