THE 4TH STREET BALL AT CITY HALL 2012 

COME ON DOWN !!!!

We would like to invite you to the 4th Street Ball at City Hall - a party we throw to give back to everyone who supported us throughout the year.

This Friday December 14th 2012 - @ City HAll 280 Grove Street -  6PM -> 10PM

A laid back and loose affair - where Black Tie Creative attire is encouraged.  - $100 prize to the best dressed 

Also an opening for the Month Long Art exhibit in the Rotunda Gallery - the theme is Sacred Geometry - the show was curated by Cara Christopher - it looks spectacular - check it out on Friday or until January 18th.

A really nice spread of Food is being prepared by the fine folks at PJ Ryans who are also hosting an after the ball shin-dig starting around 10:30pm - they are at 292 Barrow Street

We also have the great guys from the JC Home Brew club coming by to serve samples of their creations.

Inside the Chambers will be an Improv Orchestra and Live Art 

Come hang out - say hello - meet some peeps - bring whoever you like -

Gaia art Gala at City Hall

A night of food, drink, music and ART. Please help us continue to serve our cultural community by donating a work of art for this benefit. 100% of the sale of all artworks will go towards _gaia programming. _gaia has been creating programs for artists in the Jersey City community for 10 years. We are celebrating this milestone with our first ever Gala Fundraiser. Your support will allow us to continue to carry out our mission for the advancement, visibility, and development of emerging artists. Our Gala will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012, at City Hall in Jersey City, NJ. There will be a reception at 6pm and a running silent auction until 10 pm. Free admission.

Whitney Tilson's A Right Denied: The Critical Need for Genuine School Reform, followed by a panel discussion with Rev. Reginald T. Jackson, executive director of The Black Ministers Council of New Jersey, and Ryan Hill, founder and CEO of Newark's TEAM charter schools. This presentation is being put together by Shelley Skinner, founder of JC Families for Better Schools, and councilman Steven Fulop.

Pet ownership day

“Sponsors Liberty Humane Society and the city’s Cultural Affairs division say they are expecting even more at the second annual event, which will happen at the lawn of City Hall, 280 Grove Street, this sunday, April 18, from 11 am to 3 pm.

For your current companion, the event includes free rabies shots, low-cost microchipping ($35) and nail clipping ($10), and the ability to easily purchase or renew dog licenses. Meanwhile, if you think you might be ready for a new cat or dog, a mobile adoption van will also be on site, with more than 20 animals from Liberty Humane.

Shots will be administered by Dr. Pui Chi; credit cards, checks and cash are accepted. All proceeds from the day go to Liberty Humane, which recently celebrated its eleventh year of providing shelter and care to the city’s homeless and abandoned animals.”
