A Celebration of Art, art education at JC Art School

while you're making your warm weather JC Fridays tour, be sure to swing by the Jersey City Art School for "A Celebration of Art"--a festive open house toasting to art education.
5 - 10 pm, 326 5th street
We have a lot of great stuff to share:

--The garden is officially open!! Step on back to our urban oasis and talk to Anne McTernan about how she created this multi-tiered green beauty...and scope out a spot where you'll be parking yourself for open-air drawing classes. Special thanks to professional gardener Julee McClelland, who consulted on what to plant and donated some lovely blooms. It really is a beaut!
--Dynamic live art demos by JCAS teachers Thomas John Carlson (painting) and Christi Harrington (figure sculpture).
--Learn about the line-up of summer courses and workshops, including painting and drawing, figure sculpture, jewelry making, digital photography, and more!
--Indulge in a few delectable nibbles with refreshing wine.

We look forward to seeing you there and raising a glass to the art garden and creativity!
