It is a shining example of how the Performing Arts Workshop's programs address the needs of dancers at every level, absolute beginner through advanced. We've had such a great time working towards our first performance and look forward to working on new choreography, and participating in more events like this one! In the historic building of Sanai's The Newkirk House, also known as the Summit House, located at 510 Summit Avenue is the oldest surviving structure in Jersey City. The two-story Dutch Colonial building, composed of sandstone, brick and clapboard dates back 1690, when it was known as the Blue Point Tavern. Today the building is Sanai's Restaurant bar and lounge which is currently owned by L. Terry Dehere, former NBA Athlete, Vice President of the Jersey City School Board, and Community Activist.

A fundraiser for the victims devastated in the recent earthquake which occurred off the coast of the Maule Region of Chile. All proceeds will go to the Chilean Red Cross.

LIVE PERFORMANCE BY: SIRENA (Sirelo Ent.)
Chilean born songbird Sirena has been performing since she was
7 years old. Originally singing with her father who taught her Chilean Folklore and Andean Music, she later taught herself to use programs such as ProTools and Reason and began to produce. As a producer her music has the influences of her folklore background and a wonderful mix of electronica, soul and latin rhythms. Her voice and style have been compared to that of Sade, La India, and Carol C. of Si*Se. Singing both in English and Spanish, her songs are drenched with rhythmic beauty.

SPECIAL INTIMATE DJ SET BY: OSCAR P. (Open Bar Music)
Oscar's diverse DJ sets have been featured on the Roger Sanchez show “Release Yourself” and the Paul Van Dyk “VONYC Sessions” this year, and his career highlights include projects like Extortion's "How Do You See Me Now" (Junior Boys Own/Polygram), and Swing 52's hit "Colour of Skin" f/ Arnold Jarvis later licensed by Pete Tong's FFRR label. He's remixed tracks for Beyonce, 2 Unlimited, John Legend, Sabrina Johnston, Peech Boys, Physics, Sasha Alazy, Alix Alvarez, and Silvano Da Silva.
