Nimbus Dance Works presents the inaugural year production of The Nutcracker! Retaining many of the essential elements that have made The Nutcracker a holiday classic for generations, Nimbus has reconceived the storyline to take place in a city not so different from Jersey City. Join your favorite characters: Mother Ginger, the Arabian couple and, of course, the Sugar Plum Fairy – all with a Jersey City twist! The production features professional dancers and talented (and cute!) youth performers from Jersey City Dance Academy and Next Step Broadway. For the program, Nimbus Dance Works will also present a new duet choreographed by company member Jean Paul Jr. drawing on influences from his upbringing in Haiti, and Six Chansons, choreographed by Nimbus Artistic Director Samuel Pott. Join us in the intimate and historic Grace Church Van Vorst for what is sure to become a Jersey City holiday tradition!

Nimbus Dance works: JC summermoves

JC Summermoves!
Nimbus Dance Works, Jersey City's premier dance company, presents a
two-week summer dance program for Jersey City high school students.
(Incoming 9th grade-12th grade students are eligible.)

Program Dates/Times:
Monday-Friday, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., July 19-31
Plus a field trip to a professional dance performance in New York City
on July 18

Tuition: $55 (full and partial scholarships are available)

Location:
New Jersey City University/Henry Snyder High School

Audition (required): already passed

 Students will be chosen based on ability,
enthusiasm, and willingness to learn new styles.
