Trivia night

Geeks Who Drink started a Trivia Night every Tuesday at 9pm at The Hamilton Inn and some of you people have expressed interest in fielding a team. It doesn't have to be every week — we can aim for every other week or monthly, depending on who isn't getting sloshed elsewhere. Use this thread to coordinate plans, RSVP and brag about our wins.

The basics:
"The quiz burns through nearly 70 multimedia questions in two exciting hours.

The quiz consists of eight rounds of eight questions each, played by teams of up to six people. Questions are read aloud by the quizmaster and teams write down the answers, turning them in at the end of each round.

Rounds 1, 4 and 6 are themed rounds – anything from “Eight Questions About Sex That Won’t Make You Too Uncomfortable” to “TV Shows Your Parents Watch.” Round 2 is a music round worth double points: name the artist and title for each song clip. Round 3 is a multiple choice round or a speed round. Round 5 is a visual round based on a printed handout. The all-audio Round 7 usually covers movies or TV shows, and is worth the standard eight points. Finally, Round 8 is always 16 points on Random Knowledge.

One round can be jokered, doubling your points for that round only (yes, the 16-point rounds are fair game). The team with the most points after eight rounds is the winner."

Taste of the Town

April 2, 1 -5 pm  Resurrection School, 189 Brunswick Street.
a community-building fundraising event to benefit Resurrection School, on the corner of Brunswick Street and Seventh Street, here in Downtown Jersey City. 

We are hosting some of Jersey City's best restaurants for a tasting and raffle.  Participating restaurants include The Hamilton Inn, Michael Anthony's, Rita & Joe's, Skinner's Loft, Cafe La Rustique, The Box, Made With Love Bakery, Parkside Bistro,and more, for a total of 13 restaurants offering the best of their menues. 
You could also win a free dinner!  There will be a raffle for gift certificates to Dorrian's, Sushi Tango, and Rue Viet.

All of our sponsors have been very generous and have worked very hard to make this an exciting and delicious event.
